Words You Deserve

A poem.

Photo by Eric Weber on Unsplash

I want to ride your city.
That neon screwdriver
in my hand.
Maybe for a second,
if I’d said yes,
then I’d begin
to understand.

The journey
that you’ve traveled.
El Camino cars.
I’ve always seen,
your world
from two train tracks afar.
